"Form Texture Space"
Line, color, shape, value, form, texture, and space are the seven defining elements of art. Each month our school explores one element through creative art experiences. This exhibit combines three of those artistic endeavors:
Form: Supportive wire armature fashioned to create/hold figurative sculptures. The interplay between “negative” & “positive” formations lead one in & around the display.
Texture: Plain black mats were tacitly transformed after discussing “real” vs “implied” sensations. These 3D artifacts inspire us to see and feel our environments.
Space: Tasked to place form on texture to compose a union between the two. In the artistic process space is considered to be the one element that rules them all.
